Match-on-Action, Shot-Reverse-Shot and Eyeline Match

Match-on-Action:
This refers to the switch in camera shot to show a single action from a different angle. Below is an example of match-on-action:



Shot-reverse-shot:
This style of shot is used commonly in a conversation between two characters. The camera will show a shot of the first character looking at the second character, then the second character looking back at the first. There is an example of this below:



Eyeline Match:
An eyeline shot is based on the audience wanting to see what the character on-screen can see. For example, if a shot shows a character looking at a TV, the next shot will be of the TV from the perspective of the character.
